Press Release

Chris Plouffe to Fill in for Injured PJ Larsen

JDR
Motorsports announced that Chris Plouffe will fill in for the injured
PJ Larsen on the JDR/J-Star/KTM Racing Team for the remaining two
rounds of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship Series.

Plouffe,
fresh off his second Loretta Lynn’s AMA Motocross Amateur National
Championship title, will race aboard a KTM 250 SX-F in the 250
Motocross class for his professional racing debut.

The
California native turned heads earlier this season finishing at the
top of his class since turning pro in the amateur ranks at the Mini
Olympics in 2010. After winning the Open Pro Sport title at this
year’s Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National, Plouffe was looking for
the perfect entry into his professional racing career. “It’s
unfortunate that I am filling in for an injured rider, because you
never want to see someone hurt in this sport, but I am so grateful
for the opportunity,” remarked Plouffe. “I am really looking
forward to racing with the top riders in the sport. I have been
working my whole life for this step in my career and I am so happy to
have the support of the JDR/J-Star/KTM Team behind me.”

JDR/J-Star/KTM
Racing Team Manager Nathan Ramsey commented, “Chris is a great kid
who has had a successful amateur career. We are glad that our team
can give him a chance to show what he has to bring to the table as he
enters the pro ranks. Even though it will be his first race, I feel
he has the potential to finish inside the top fifteen. We are looking
forward to seeing how this weekend goes.”
