Canadian-American Challenge Set For MX Rewind

New Berlin, NY - April 22, 2014 - Unadilla MX is pleased to announce a new feature coming to MX Rewind on May 30- June 1. Billed as "The Canadian-American Challenge", this new event will feature teams of American racers versus teams of Canadian racers looking for all time country bragging rights in the vintage motocross circuit.

The event will be held on Sunday, June 1st, 2014 and is open to all vintage racers. Teams are made up of three racers, but only one of the racers can be at the expert/pro level. The other two must be at the novice, intermediate, or amateur levels. Each team must be composed of all American or all Canadian citizens. All AHRMA vintage and post-vintage bikes are eligible regardless of brand. Racing will be a GP moto format, and all three team members overall finishes count toward the team score. The winning team will see their name on the Canadian-American Challenge trophy, which will be passed along for years to come. The overall winner, top oldest finisher, and top youngest finisher will also be recognized with a special award.

"We were actually north of the border when this idea was brought to us" said Unadilla's Greg Robinson. 'As we talked it through that day with a few ofthe Canadian Rewind racers, the enthusiasm began building. It should be a lot of fun to see what both countries bring to the track and have for each other. As much as wejoke about "border war" and "bragging rights", the Canadian-American Challenge is yet another fun event that MX Rewind offers as a way to get back to our casual roots in motocross. It should have some great photo opportunities for those involved and is bound to bring up some tall racing tales at future MX Rewind events."

The Can-Am Challenge will be limited to five (5) teams of American racers and five (5) teams of Canadian racers. You can pre-enter your team by going to www.mxrewind.com and clicking on the "Can-Am Challenge button" or by contacting us at  info@unadillamx.com or by calling 607/965-8450. Post-entry for the Canadian-American Challenge will only be available if a team slot remains.
