CMRC Season Finale CMRC Motocross & Vintage Race -- Sunday, October 24,

The Gopher Dunes CMRC
Season Finale Motocross Race takes place this Sunday, October 24 and
with several major changes happening for this event, it's shaping up
to be the most anticipated Gopher Dunes Amateur Race of the Year!
 Lots of exciting things will be happening at this final race
including new classes, new sponsors and an entirely new experience
all packaged together into one day!  Sandstorm 2010 will
feature 25 classes with 8 classes running on the peewee track 17
classes on the main track.  Practice begins at 8:30am, with
races taking place from 9:15am to 5:00pm.
 

Red
Bull Energy Drink is one of the main sponsors of this event and will
be running several side events throughout the day including a bike
show and shine.  A biggest whip competition will highlight
the half-time with a freestyle ramp set up at the race track finish
line.  This competition will include Pro and Intermediate
riders selected from the participants at this finale
race.  Spectators will be able to enjoy watching this event from
the Red Bull Energy Lounge where they can grab a cold Red Bull
refreshment.  For our youngest riders in the 50cc Novice &
Expert classes, Campbell Toyota will be their sponsor for the day and
offer each competitor a complimentary race entry fee. And
once again for the CMRC finale race at Gopher Dunes, we will be
presenting the vintage bikes for a 'show & shine'
display in the pit area as well as the opportunity to
witness the worthiness of these vintage and post vintage bikes as
they race around the peewee track for a couple of
moto's.

The
highlight of the day will be watching the top National Pro
riders Jeremy Medaglia, Kyle Keast, Liam O'Farrell, Richard Grey and
Jay Burke who will be battling for the win in the Open ProAm Class as
they pack speed and excitement into every corner, jump and inch
of the dirt!  All five riders were Top 10 placing
riders throughout the 2010 National Motocross series where Keast and
Medaglia reached the podium on several occasions. This will be the
last opportunity to watch these Pro's compete against each other in
2010 as they all have hopes to finish the season out on
top!  

Gopher
Dunes has several companies supporting them for this Sandstorm Finale
including Wiseco, Fox, Red Bull, Campbell Toyota, Sturgess Cycle
and Anastacia's Salon & Spa.

For
spectators & enthusiasts gate admission is $10 per
adult, $7 for under 12 and free for children under 5.  The
Gopher Dunes food concession and the Pro Shop will both be open
during the event plus some other vendors will be out.  

So
this will be it, another racing season will wrap up at the Dunes on
