LOS ANGELES, CA (APRIL 24, 2008) - Brian Deegan,32, freestyle motocross icon and X Games winningest medalist, will race his first professional off-road truck race, this weekend at the CORR season opener, April 25-27, at the Los Angeles County Fairplex in Pomona, CA. Debuting in a 300+ horsepower Pro Lite off-road truck, Deegan joins one of the sport's original teams, Rockstar Makita Team LeDuc. This race also marks a first-ever father-son battle between a veteran contender Curt LeDuc, 53, and the youngest driver to compete in the Pro 4 class, Kyle LeDuc, 26. The team is rounded out by Todd LeDuc, 29 running his fourth season in a Pro 2.

Deegan had this to say about his new race endeavor, “I'm really excited to step into this new opportunity especially with Team Rockstar Makita LeDuc! I think that Championship Off Road Racing is front and center to be the next “big” thing in racing. This new challenge for me is also a great opportunity for my sponsors who have supported me in my moto career, it's a logical crossover for many of them.”

CORR's television package is impressive -- NBC will have 90 minutes of coverage of each event, with three live shows, and SPEED TV will offer eight 2-hour programs, of which six will be live. That includes SPEED's coverage of the opening race, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. PDT April 26.

The closed course CORR season starts this weekend, April 25th through the 27th with the first two of a total of 16 races, here in the greater Los Angeles area. The series spans So Cal and Nevada tracks, with the season ending December 7th in Chula Vista, CA.

LA County Fairplex is located at 1101 W. McKinley Avenue in Pomona; tickets may be purchased at www.corracing.com. For up to date information on Deegan, visit www.briandeegan.com as well as www.metalmulisha.com.
