Lake Elsinore, Ca (June 27th, 2009) – It’s a big day for Brian Deegan and the Metal Mulisha/Rockstar/Lucas Oil Race Team at round 5 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, and it couldn’t have happened at a better place. Brian qualified Friday in 6th place in the Unlimited Lites class with an inverted start placing Brian 3rd in the pack on the inside turn. Having trouble with his truck in practice, Brian was determined to take home the win. At the start of the race Brian battled his way to the front of the pack and maintained his position throughout the race. On the mandatory restart seasoned veteran Rodrigo Ampudia and Undefeated Veteran Rob Naughton were on the tail of # 38 Brian Deegan, but not to be outdone in his own backyard, Brian pinned it and held on for the win and showed his hometown fans and fellow racers that he’s here for a championship!
Here are the official results of the top 5 finishers in Unlimited Lites:

Brian is no stranger when it comes to competing; he has 11 X-Games Medals under his belt and is currently practicing for Rally Car and Step Up in X-Games. Since starting his off-road short course career, Brian has made his way to top 3 in points for the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, not bad for someone who has competed on two-wheels for his entire career.
