Boost/ampm/Monster/Troy-JLaw Racing’s Jason Lawrence Will Race Hangtown Despite Injury

Boost Mobile/ampm/Monster Energy/Troy-JLaw Racing team owner Lawrence says he’s racing Hangtown regardless of severe chest injury

CARLSBAD, Calif., (May 29, 2009) – Former Supercross Lites champion, Boost Mobile/ampm/Monster Energy/Troy-JLaw Racing’s Jason Lawrence, says he’ll boot up and race the Hangtown MX National on Saturday, round two of the 2009 Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Championships in Prairie City, Calif.

Lawrence says he’ll contest the 450 class at Hangtown, the first pro premier MX class race of his career. The internal bruising and hemotoma underneath his ribcage that he received from a press day crash has been causing Lawrence to experience some excruciating pain but the doctors are stating that there will not be any more damage caused by racing this weekend.

“Racing pays the bills and the rent’s due,” said Lawrence.

Next up for the Boost Mobile/ampm/Monster Energy/Troy-JLaw Racing team – including Nick Wey and Max Anstie - is this weekend’s Hangtown round in Prairie City, SVRA, round two of the 2009 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championships.
