Beursfoon and KTM join forces in youth development project

After years of involvement in the motocross World - and Dutch championships, the Beursfoon Rockstar Motocross Team has joined forces with KTM and will launch a youth development project. The objective is to manage and develop youth talents in a professional manner to bring them to the top level of European - and world championship competition.

All Beursfoon's loyal supporters and partners have remained in the camp, and in addition, the new KTM dealer Voss Oss will also assist the team. The team plans to offer riders the opportunity to eventually develop into full blown factory riders for the KTM team.

For 2015, the team will consists of the talented Kay Karssemakers, Rick Elzinga, Ivano van Erp, Sem Beijer and Stef Karssemakers. The team will participate in Dutch Championship - Open Dutch Championship - and European championship races in the 65cc and 85cc classes.

As a result of the increase in riders forming part of the team, Beursfoon have opted to engage a number of dedicated employees and volunteers to assist them in arranging everything to the finest detail. Rudy Bruurs has many years' of experience in the GP field and will take care of technical matters. Mike Kras will guide the riders towards higher skill levels.

Most of the team's riders have been selected by the Dutch motorcycle federation for their development plan.

John Beijer, team owner explained the new developments: "My son participated in a number of 65cc European Championship races, and it struck me how pleasant the atmosphere was there. I went into discussions with Jeroen Punt of TKM Holland, and the plan to assist youth riders in a professional manner took shape. Our company is focused on top earnings for investors, and we carry this philosophy over to our racing activities as well. We have already trained and worked with most of the riders to some extent during the course of the year, and we believe that we are well placed to fight for title honours in various championships."
