Junior World podium and Top-10 E2 class finish for Johan Carlsson and the 2011 Beta 450 RR
PASO ROBLES, CA (November 10, 2010) - Johan Carlsson of Sweden proudly represented his country and Beta Motorcycles at the recent 2010 International Six Day Enduro. The 21-year-old piloted his 2011 Beta 450 RR in Morelia, Mexico to an impressive finish which not only garnered him an individual gold medal, but a podium finish for his country as well. Carlsson contested the ultra-competitive E2 class as a member of the Swedish Junior Trophy team and turned plenty of heads among the top enduro riders in the world with his strong performance. The young Swede maintained a solid top-ten position in the overall E2 standings throughout the week - one of the only Junior riders to do so. Six days of punishing terrain and special tests (or five days, actually...) pushed bikes and riders to their limits but Carlsson and his Beta 450 RR remained strong throughout the ISDE to ninth place overall in the E2 standings. In the process Carlsson helped lead his Swedish team to the Junior Trophy podium where they finished second overall, just ahead of the United States. American Beta is the United States distributor of Beta Motorcycles which is based in Florence, Italy.
