Two Two Motorsports
/ Bel-Ray Racing’s Chad Reed started his assault on the 2012 AMA
National Motocross Title with a victory at the first round in the
series held last weekend in Sacramento,  California.

After a successful
2012 Supercross Series, that saw Reed take second overall in the final
points standings, capturing 2 victories along the way, Reed came to the
Prairie City OHV Park, ready to continue his momentum.

Reed was fast all
day and set the second fastest time in the morning’s timed qualifying
session.  An excellent pick on the starting gate allowed Reed to get a
top 5 start behind his championship rivals. Reed held steady, keeping
the leaders in sight and eventually worked his way into second, just
behind moto 1 winner, Ryan Dungey. When the checkered flag fell, Reed
was comfortably in second place.

The second moto
again saw Reed at the front of the field. He took control of the lead
near the middle point of the 30 minute plus 2-lap moto and never looked
back. The Honda mounted rider held off a late moto charge from first
moto winner, Ryan Dungey, to take the win.

Reed’s 2-1 moto finishes gave him the overall win and the points lead after the first round of the series.

The team hopes to continue their winning ways this upcoming weekend in Wortham, Texas.
