Bel-Ray Racing-Weekend Wrap-Up

FARMINGDALE, NJ – August 1,  2011 –
Bel-Ray Company, Inc.  – Bel-Ray Racing-Weekend Wrap-Up


Motocross
racing was front and center for Bel-Ray athletes this past weekend.
Professional racing took place in Australia, Canada and Belgium.


The
final round of the Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals series took place
this past weekend at the Coolum Pines MX Park in Queensland, Australia.
The Bel-Ray backed
Axis 07 racing team had a good season, consistently finishing in the
front of their class. In Under 19s class racing, Dylan Peterson finished
4th overall for the day and 4th overall in the final season standings. In Pro Lites class action,
Justin McDonald was 6th overall for the day and 8th overall for the season, Keiron Hall was 10th overall for the day and 11th overall for the season, while Cody Mackie was 12th overall for the day and
9th overall for the season. With the outdoor season over,
the team will begin preparation for the Monster Energy Super X series
beginning this October. 



Round 7 of the CMRC National Championship took
place at the Riverglade MX Park in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada this
past weekend. In MX2 class racing, Kini / Red Bull / KTM / IMX / Bel-Ray
Racing team rider Kieran Leigh finished
8-8 for 9th overall. His teammate Mason Phillips finished 10-6 for 5th overall. In Canada, were Bel-Ray elite racers Dakota Kessler and Mic Sowa. Sowa was 28-29 for 33rd overall, and Kessler was 8-10 for 8th overall.
Kessler’s excellent finish bumped him to 21st in the series standings after only racing 2 rounds.



Lommel, Belgium was the site of Round 11 of
Grand Prix Motocross racing. Tanel Leok of the Bel-Ray backed TM Factory
Racing Team has been struggling this season but saw a breakout ride
this past weekend. He used 8-5 moto finishes to
claim 6th overall for the afternoon. He currently sits in 12th
overall in the season’s standings. Teammate Petr Smitka missed several
rounds due to injury this season and is trying to find his groove as the
series winds down. He was 24-19
for 22nd overall this past weekend.
