Press Release

Baja Designs Night Race Back For Las Vegas EnduroCross

A
Tribute to the Baja 1000 and other Endurance Events

Irvine,
CA (November 14, 2011) –
The
Baja Designs night race is a must see and will again take place at
this weekend’s GEICO AMA EnduroCross Finals, presented by Lucas
Oil. The Baja 1000 and other desert races are best known for night
racing with high performance lighting systems guiding the way. For
this special event, the expert riders that just miss qualifying for
the double main events from the Last Chance Qualifiers will be
invited to mount up Baja Designs battery powered Diablo light kits
and race with the Orleans Arena lights turned off. They will duke it
out for the $500 winner take all prize.

The
Las Vegas EnduroCross Finals will include a full night of racing. For
the first time ever, the Expert riders will race two separate main
events with full championship points and purse on the line. The
Freegun Underwear Women’s invitational will also take place along
with the AMA Grand Championship finals for the support classes for
the TrialsCross, Open Amateur and Vets, which will attract a few big
name riders that are over the age of 35. The support class riders
have qualified from each of the six previous EnduroCross events for
the opportunity to race for AMA Number One plates in Las Vegas so
these will be the best of the best riders competing.

Like
all EnduroCross events, you can count on a lot of activity at the
Orleans Arena all day on Saturday, November 19th.
The pits are open free all day to meet the top riders and check out
their bikes up close. The arena is also open for free during the
daytime qualifiers that start on Saturday morning as well as for the
Expert practice and Hot Laps that take place during the midafternoon.

EnduroCross
tracks incorporate various elements of extreme off road racing into a
supercross-style setting, including rocks, boulders, logs, sand, mud,
a water-hole…and even a few special obstacles like giant tires
thrown in! Known as the “toughest racing on two wheels,” this
indoor off road racing will certainly keep you on your feet. Don’t
