Monster Energy TiLube Kawasaki's Tyler Bowers captured his first career
AMA Arenacross championship at the MetroCentre in Rockford, Ill. on
Saturday with a dominating win. After an eighth-place finish on Friday,
Bowers bounced back with his 11th win of the season and secured his
spot on top of the championship standings. Teammate Chad Johnson
continued to hunt down second place in the points standings with a
second-place finish on Friday and a fifth-place on Saturday. Gray
Davenport worked his way through the pack during both 25-lap main
events to finish 10th on Friday and improve to eighth on Saturday.
