BEL-RAY SPONSORED RACERS KEN ROCZEN, BROC TICKLE AND ZACH OSBORNE SECURE PODIUM FINISHES AT AMA PRO MOTOCROSS REDBUD

FARMINGDALE, N.J. (July 5, 2016) – Bel-Ray sponsored racers Ken Roczen and Broc Tickle of RCH Soaring Eagle/Jimmy Johns/Suzuki Factory Racing earned first and third place in 450MX and Zach Osborne of Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing claimed third place in 250MX at AMA Pro Motocross RedBud on July 2.

With another victory at RedBud, Roczen claimed his sixth overall victory of the season. Roczen extended his first place lead to 53 points overall against his best competitor. Despite needing a quick motor swap between motos, Roczen was able to earn another perfect 1-1 finish.

“I think the second moto might have been the best I’ve ridden all year,” said Roczen. “I’m having a blast riding my bike and the team is having a lot of fun, too. We’re just having a good time and doing our thing. I felt really good today. I felt like I was riding really good so I just kept it consistent the whole time.”

Tickle is now fifth in overall points after the race at RedBud, making this season’s start the best since the 2012 season. Tickle wanted to claim third place in this moto and was determined to do so. After falling short of third place in the first moto, he was able to maneuver his way into third place during the second moto, leading himself into a 4-3 finish.

“It’s awesome to get another podium,” said Tickle. “Last weekend really hit it off for me, I had a good week. The goal was another podium, no matter what happened. In the first moto, I wanted to get third but I knew I could do it in the second moto. I got a decent start in the second moto.”

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider Zach Osborne finished 5-2 at Redbud. After starting in the middle of the pack for both motos, he was able to fight his way to the front. Coming from 12th to fifth in the first moto, Osborne kept fighting his way to first. During the second moto, he worked his way into third place by the ninth lap before quickly claiming second to end the event.

“Today was OK,” said Osborne. “I didn’t feel that great in practice and ended up 14th fastest. I just had a long travel day yesterday and it kind of wore on me. I had a little bit of doubt going into the motos, but knew if everything went well I could pull it off. I didn’t get a great start in the first moto, but I rode up to fifth. Then got pretty much the same start in the second moto, but I rode up to second and was really close to winning.”
