Asterisk Backs Top AMA Supercross Racers to Victory

Reed and Lawrence Capture Championships with Asterisk Braces

FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif. (June 1, 2008) – After a successful Monster Energy Supercross season, Asterisk will provide support to the top riders competing in the Toyota AMA Motocross Championships. In the AMA Supercross class, Asterisk backed three of the top five finishing riders in Chad Reed, Andrew Short Davi Millsaps and respectively.

In the Western Regional AMA Supercross class the top three finishing riders, Jason Lawrence, Ryan Dungey and Austin Stroupe, wore Asterisk’s braces. On the Eastern Regional AMA Supercross class, second place finished Ryan Villopoto wore the Asterisk brace.

Leading the way for the Asterisk squad in the AMA Supercross class was champion Reed, who put an exclamation point on his stellar season by winning the supercross finale in Las Vegas. En route to his second AMA Supercross class championship, Reed won a total of nine main events.

“Asterisk is proud to be a part of Chad’s championship-winning season,” said Asterisk’s Tom Carson. “It was a rough year for him with the big crash at Detroit. He really showed some heart by fighting for the title.”

Jason Lawrence came from behind to capture the first AMA Supercross Lites class championship of his career on the West coast as he battled fierce competition from Dungey and Stroupe.

Asterisk began their Toyota AMA Motocross Championship support last weekend at Glen Helen Raceway.
