AHRMA Vintage MX National Weekend Just Around the Corner!

September 14, 2012 – St. Clair, MO:With just one short week until the 2nd Annual Team Bull AHRMA Vintage National weekend, we’d like update you on some things. In addition to 2-Time FIM World MX Champion, Trampas Parker and Champ Guy Cooper, we are pleased to announce that the legendary Chuck Sun will be participating at our event this year. Mr. Sun is a former professional motocross racer who, in 1980, won the AMA 500cc National Motocross Championship. He was also a member of the First U.S. Team in history to win the Motocross Des Nations. He is also the only Asian American to have won a national championship in American professional motorcycle racing. In 2003, Sun was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame. His presence at our event is an honor and we’re very proud he will be joining us.
Last year, the track was laid out by EZ Jim Sr. and Chris Blankenship of Durt Wurx. This year, Jim wanted to enhance the track, making it bigger and better for all riders. With Chrs Blackenship’s recommendations, the track layout has been updated to include trucking in 500 loads of topsoil and eliminating the one-line corners to create the vintage friendly feel AHRMA has fought so hard to protect. If you didn’t attend last year’s event, you shouldn’t miss this one!
To closed, we are reaching out to all AHRMA members, asking everyone to bring a friend to share the AHRMA experience with. Introducing a friend or family member to the sport will help our sport grow and is a great way to have fun to boot. AHRMA now has one-event membership ($30) that can be purchased at the track. This allows riders to experience an AHRMA national without expense of a full membership and its’ commitment. Riders who take out this membership are allowed to sign up at the pre-entry rates of $45 for the first class and $30 each additional class on race day. Please note: the one-event membership may not be renewed for 13 months from the date of original purchase. The one event (weekend membership) is not entitled to series points, voting rights or the issuance of the monthly magazine – Vintage Views. The one event (weekend membership) can be upgraded to a full membership or a non racing membership by contacting the membership office and paying the additional fees due. No back issues of Vintage Views will be sent if converted to a full or non-racing membership.
Gates open at 6:00am on both race days, with sign-up opening at 7:00am. Riders meeting will start at 8:30am with practice at 9:00am and racing starting at 10:00am. For more event information and directions to the track, please visit
