Our pal Swap from TransWorld Motocross has been known to take the occasional dirt nap, but the one he took on Sunday may set a new record...at least in the cringe factor. Swap's crash was bad enough in slow motion, but the real-time version. Ow.
Earlier we'd posted up a link to a video of the crash on YouTube. Donn later posted his own version on transworldmx.com, where he describes the crash. He also allowed us to download and repost it here as well. Click the following link to see and hear Donn talking about his crash and the gear he was wearing. While it did K.O. him and left him with a concussion, two days later he's up and around, and making his own plea for riders to use the best possible safety gear. Check it out.
Interestingly, it was a year ago this week that we visited David Bailey's house and did the Stand For Something Video where he talked about safety gear, and the use of equipment like the Leatt-Brace.
