Team San Manuel’s James Stewart and Kyle Regal Postpone Entry Into Motocross Series Indefinitely

Murrieta, CA (May 17, 2011)– After a few
weeks of preparation for the 2011 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Series
opener in Rancho Cordova, CA, Team San Manuel’s James Stewart and
company have decided to indefinitely postpone their entry into the race
series.  “Everyone witnessed the way I struggled during the Supercross
series this year and while I’d like to race this weekend, we just
aren’t ready,” Stewart said.  “I hope fans will understand.  The
decision has been very hard to make, but we won’t race till we’re
ready.”  The Team will continue to evaluate the remainder of the 2011
schedule before any decision is made regarding what events they will
participate in.

no dout dont say you dont have funding sell some cars do something only way to get better is ride sitting home watching videos wont help a bit points total up would have been better to ride and the fans would have like to see james out there malcom did ok lead some laps then back peddled but at least he was at hangtown and putting laps in

The real person who gets screwed in this situation besides the fans is Kyle Regal. He showed real promise in the outdoors last year. Hopefully JS7 dumps Regal so that he can get on a real team that has the desire and passion to race. JS7 I dont know what is going on with you, but I wish you the best of luck in figuring it out.

Whatever.....I am so sick of this "I'm not ready" or "my bike is not ready" "my team is not ready" BOOHOO...... I am sure he would be the only rider on the gate who will be not "100% percent prepared". Get out on the track and race your bike and figure it out !! The ONLY thing not racing is going to to, is make him even less ready !!! Then it will be the same song and dance. He is the most naturally talented rider on the planet, but unfortunately that isn't enough anymore with the likes of RV, Dung, Canard and a refocused Chad Reed....suck it up, mount up and ride.

why would you do something like that... winning a championship as you know is whoever makes the best combined 12 rounds, if you are not 100% for the first one, okey make a 5th place or so but keep improving.. why throw away an entire championship that you could easily win, if you are SOO uncomfortable that you can't even ride change teams, that team sucks, i remember it was the same crap over and over again when reed was there... you will regret not taking the oportunities you have now in the future. and by the way its worthless being the fastest man on the world if you are not there to prove it.. if your goal is to just make it to the MXdN by racing a few rounds, i hope you won't. i assure you today you lost tons of fans. so many people would kill to have the chances you have, oohh by the way don't ever use the money excuse, you could fund a race team just as cr"


Maybe because championships are designed for sponsors and promoters.

Racers win races. Series champions make money for everyone else by staying in the limelight as long as possible.

Anytime it is mathematically possible to never WIN a single race and still be called the champion, something is wrong.

After a great weekend, I feel the need to pass along some compassion to #7. Something's just not right, I hope he figures it out. As much as I whine like others about his inability to go fast and stay upright, etc., etc. His natural talent is undeniable. I'm an MX fan, so by default a James fan when he has his head screwed on straight. Irv B. said it on Saturday, all of us have screwed up at one time or another, we just weren't in the spotlight. Tough to be the top dog. Guess we just have to wait and see.

As I stated on another forum, Scott Champion is my new hero of MX. He raced USGP on his own honda and even skipped the opening "mudder moto" to save his bike as much as he could for the nationals. This guy is showing heart that most of us cant even imagine or will never even know or hear about. on top of it all; he is dating Erin Normoyle. Hero status of mine, there alone!! haha!!
