Steel City Saturday: Rained Out

Steel City SaturdaySaturday was quiet at Steel City on Saturday, after practice was cancelled after the remnants of tropical storm Ernesto blew through the area.

For the most part, the pits were quiet, except for a couple of die-hard mechanics fussing over their bikes. Riders were holed up in their coaches (for those who are lucky enough to own one), or back at their hotels.

Fortunately, the outlook for tomorrow is better, with only a 20% chance of rain. Good thing, too. It'll be a full day with practice, qualifier, a roundtable meeting with the AMA's Steve Whitelock, both final motos of the WMA's 2006 season, and four AMA Championship series motos. Look for results, photos, and complete info after he conclusion of the day.
