Ruling on Evans/Johnson Altercation in Vancouver

Tyler Evans (left), and Keith Johnson having a discussion during the LCQ.

We've learned of the penalties laid down a ruling for the on-track altercation between Tyler Evans and Keith Johnson at the Amp'd Mobile World Supercross GP event in Vancouver, and here are the results:

  • Both riders were disqualified from the Vancouver event for behaving in an unsportsmanlike manner.
  • Both riders forfeited any winnings from Vancouver.
  • For starting the fight, and because he'd been involved in previous fights (in Detroit last year, where he'd also received a warning), Tyler was fined $1,000.
  • Tyler has also been warned that if there are future incidents at an event, he'll be suspended for up to two races.
  • No points were awarded for the LCQ, so there were no points deducted.
