A story broke out this evening on our forums HERE that James Stewart had been arrested for impersonating a police officer. It is not often we take these, "I heard it from a good source..." rumors to heart, we often see some pretty wild stuff posted on our forums, but this one is apparently true, as it was later confirmed during the PulpMX radio show when Matt Boni called in.

Update: we found a link to James' booking info in the same thread. While we'd guess that this entire incident started out as more along the lines of a prank, it's obviously very serious and probably not quite as funny now. Your guess is as good as ours as to whether this will affect his ability to race this weekend in Dallas...or future rounds.

my self i think ama could take is license away from him just like they do people that own race tracks of coures his fames so that makes him defrint i guss becuase his a pro racer but ama could put him on probasne for some time thats what they could do with owners of race tracks as well

I think this is a real bummer for James. He is truly the fastest rider on the planet...and that makes him an easy target. Bottomline is...he's no Jlaw! He doesnt even party or ever get into trouble. He's a good kid and everyone knows it. He has always been a solid role model for MX. My guess is Big James will crack the whip hard...and thats enough of a beatdown! What will truly be amazing is if James can put this behind him and win the series...and if anyone can do it, he can! I was asked to be creative...hope thats better...spoken from the gut! Smile

Now, when Tiger Woods wife took the 9 iron to Tiger's Escalade on that fateful November day, it was never really brought ti light on exactly what Elan's intentions were. I too feel so sorry for his mom and dad. I hope he just fesses up and gets it behind him. What do we know about the dude with him? Is he an industry guy or a hanger now that LB isnt in the picture.
