First Look: Twin Air Fuel Filter
Twin Air had long been famous for their air filters, but we just received some spy photos from Europe featuring a prototype of their latest filter. This one drops into your fuel tank's filler, and the very fine mesh filters impurities from the fuel as it's poured in to reduce the instances or chances of injector clogging.

Good stuff! There's no word yet on a release date or suggested retail, but we dig the idea.
What do you think? Is this something you'd add to your bike?

Wasn't the guy that jumped on the podium at the MXoN wearing one of these?

splitstream makes these too guys. $30 ive been running one for awhile on my honda, anyone who knows hondas know the pumps dont last long w/o these and generally have problems after about 50hrs. good to see someone else is making them too.they filter really good so you will have to pour your gas in slower too

It would seem like this has already been done but I guess not!......I think everyone will buy one of these and it will likely find tis way into production on at least one of the Mfg's bikes. It makes sense with fuel injection aqnd now the fuel pump going bad could ruin not only your day of riding but will RUIN your wallet as well, gone are the simple days of the fail proof petcock.

A different company has been selling these in australia for years. Suprised other companies are only catching onto them now.

why wouldn't they make this for the Gas can? I can only imagine how dirty some of these will be after being stored and then shoved into the tank on the bike. a disposable paint strainer and a funnel seem like better ideas.

It stays in the tank, Jay. It's also reversible to rinse out/clean. So it doesn't get dirty while being stored, it's stored (and stays) in the tank, gas cap screws over it.

That's a good deal, I was just thinking you took it in and out of the tank every time.

Today we learned that this is an interesting item...and that reading for comprehension matters.

I'm pretty careful like most people with my gas caps, cans, ect. A few years ago I had a 06 YZ250F with a clear tank on it.
When I was switching tanks one time, I noticed the clear tank had about a 1/32 layer of mud in the bottom.
