Fast Laps: Millville 3

Welcome to a muddy and muggy Millville, where practice is done for the morning.


Wow, talk about a nice return to action for American Honda Racing's Trey Canard, who laid down the fastest qualifying lap ahead of Rockstar Makita Suzuki's Ryan Dungey. Series points leader, Chad Reed (TwoTwo Motorsports Bel Ray Racing) was third, and looks among the fastest through Millville's long whoop section.




Tyla Rattray took the top spot among the 250 riders, and looked comfortable in the morning muck. Eli Tomac (GEICO Honda) is back following a practice crash at Red Bud that kept him out of action there, and was the wedge between Rattray and his Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki teammate, Dean Wilson, who nabbed third. Series points leader, Blake Baggett, was eighth.



Notable: There was a red flag in one of the 450 sessions to shorten a section, where there was a problem with one of the drop-off sections. The weather is muggy (understandable after yesterday's heavy rain), and while there were morning sprinkles, it's slated to do nothing but get warmer for the rest of the day.
