EVS Sports Introduces New R4 Pro Race Collar

Rancho Dominguez, CA 7/9/2014- EVS Sports, the leading innovator in motocross protective gear, is proud to formally introduce the new R4 Pro Race Collar.

“We took our proven race collar technology and stepped it up to the next level,” said Todd Lentz, EVS Sports Director of Worldwide Sales and Marketing. “The new R4 Pro is the lightest neck protection on the market at a mere 585 grams and improves upon existing lightweight feel and incredible fit of the R4 by incorporating the use of carbon fiber, high impact injection grade bio-foam and an all new innovative air bladder shock absorption system. The R4 Pro’s unique bio-foam and air bladder construction helps dissipate energy to the shoulder and collarbone area, which we feel will help reduce the amount of injuries to these areas in comparison to other neck braces on the market. In addition, we improved the harnessing system by providing an all-new bi-lateral torso strapping system.”

The new R4 Pro minimizes risk of axial compression, hyper flexion, hyperextension as well as lateral hyper flexion and in addition features:

-Rapid lock front closure which makes getting in and out of the collar fast, easy and safe

-Carbon fiber construction that absorbs and disperses energy to the bio-foam and air bladder system

-Integrated Air Bladder Shock Absorbing (IABSA) eases the tension on shoulders and spine when faced with direct impact from helmet; the IABSA also deflects and absorbs the impact energy through a deformation that uses energy, while also dispersing energy, thereby evening out the forces across the body naturally

-Adjustable rear strut that offers adjustments of 10 – 12° between pin locations for a more customized fit

-Rear axial load absorber to help aid with the transfer of impact energy across the width of shoulders instead of blunt force to spine

-Removable and washable bio-foam liner that serves as an extra layer of absorption while offering added comfort

-Bi-lateral torso strapping system (X-Strap Harness) to help ensures a safe, secure fit throughout the entire duration of your ride
