Heard through the grape vine that this place is opening up again soon... And not just opening up, dirt works (or however they spell it) is coming out and building a fresh track

No I haven't heard that. I had someone tell me that all the equipt and water tanks were still there though. Was going to try and get ahold of them to see what the new owners were doing with all that stuff. I still have my lifetime membership card. Probably will be null and void if they reopen it.

I believe it's new owners but they're supposed to start work soon on building new tracks

Used to love that place. Got my first win there. Loooong time ago. '77? I saw GoPros taken a few years ago and it retained zero of the old natural terrain character.

Tri city cycles is leasing the land and the bulldozers are building the track as we speak. Cool
Now if Watkins would just fix their water truck there would be some good places to ride again.

Only time I go to IMI is to race shifter karts or speedway bikes but the dirt and the pavement are all the same there. Wink

You're missing out, they've put allot of work into the main track and made it pretty good for Colorado standards
