Teach him to cover the clutch with 1 finger most of the time.

When it gets a little warmer , and if you want to bring him down to Delaware to the sand at speed citi for a few weekends I would help him out you can pm me if you want , I am a ex jersey guy I think it would be about a 2/12 hour ride for you

The best advice my dad ever gave me when I was learning how to ride was to break your wrist, and then grab the throttle. So have the little guy break his wrist up and then grab. The biggest thing is that people panic and pull back causing the throttle to rip back and the bike to take off.
