Getting some new aftermarket parts (again)
On the right is a metal on metal "re-surfacing" that is getting yanked out of me 24 hours from.. right now. The one on the left is a titanium ceramic coated ball, & titanium cup with a polyethelene liner they're replacing it with. Parts is parts !
(Sorry for the crappy quality pic)
Kind of trippy holding the parts side by side  The first one is made out of chromium and cobalt, wich turns out isn't so cool as the metal wears and the particles gather in the surrounding tissue. With the second one (on the left) the wear parts (the ball and the liner) can be replaced without taking the old parts out of the bone (theorecticly) Party ! Bone ingrowth takes a year, sooo.. trail riding next desert season and racing again 2015. Oh well I'll have plenty of time to go over the YZ
