Used 250fs are a hard sell...we sold our 15 crf250 about 4 months ago for 6500 but had a complete spare fully built race motor to go with it. The bike had 100 hours on it and had a60s, full ti pc duals, x trig clamps and lots of spare and miscellaneous parts. I think we were fortunate to get it sold for that ...the kid that got it wanted it bad. Good luck with the sale.

I'd post it for $4,500 and be ready to take $4,000 or $3,750 if you want it gone ASAP.

A nice 2013 just brought $3700 on craigslist here in the south east. I saw this post the other day but didnt comment but here it would be $5000 to $5500 on craigslist. Id pay $3750 for it all day long but I think its more of a $4500 bike for my area. Nice ride, dont give it away.

Not a direct response to your particular bike but it's crazy to me (in my area anyways) how hard it is to get rid of a used bike. I left the sport for almost 10 years and I remember always selling my used bikes quick and for a decent price but since getting back into it, its been difficult. In March 2014 I posted an ad to CL to sell my 2012 KX 250F. It had 16 hours on the meter, ran and looked like it just came off the showroom floor. Not even a scuff on the crankcase cover. I Was asking $4500 obo prepared to take $4k no problem. Didn't touch the bike for the next 10 months I spent trying to sell it, Renewed the ad frequently and in those 10 months was down to asking $2600 obo and it still never sold. Felt like I couldn't give the damn thing away. I purchased my new bike with intentions on having it a long long time.

Wow 1.9% is crazy! I was kinda dead set on a 16' yz250f so I never really noticed deals the other brands were offering. But you make a good point.

And some that want to ride asap, don't have 4-5k to buy one used.

Just an FYI but we just sold a fully modded 15 crf250 and picked up a 2016 yz250f..my son likes it much better than the honda..and it's bone stock except for remapping with the gytr tuner

Same here! I went from a Kawi to a 16' yz250f and I started having fun riding again. My kawi was just unpredictable no matter what I did which made riding not as fun for awhile. I put a hammerhead shifter on my Yamaha because I was having trouble shifting with the stock shifter with a size 12 boot. I also threw on a pro circuit rear linkage arm and that was money well spent. Probably one of the best purchases I've made when it came to price:performance.
