I started with a brand new 2007 RM250 that I bought in July of 2010 from a dealership in PA that went out of business. Ron Bushey (John Dowd's old mechanic did the engine & assembled the entire bike for me)

Sandblasted the frame & clear powdercoated it.- $250
New yellow Excel rims & with Excel spline drive spokes & black powdercoated hubs $500
Braking oversized 270mm front wave rotor & Braking rear wave rotor/ yellow Venhill steel braided brake line $450
Motor completely disassembled & balanced & ported like John Dowd's 2004 RM250 outdoor national bike $1800
YZ250 Racers choice piston kit $125
YZ250 V-Force 3 $135
Scalvini coned exhaust pipe with full carbon fiber silencer $500
TMV 16oz flywheel weight $100
Factory Connection suspension with DLC coated sliders & shock shaft & internals $3000
Pro Circuit triple clamps $400
Twinwall bars with ARC pro clutch perch & carbon composite levers & aluminum throttle tube. $400
Motion pro yellow clutch & throttle cables $50
Raptor handmade Ti footpegs $250
Lightspeed Carbon fiber skid plate & frame guards. $175
Lightspeed carbon fiber mag cover $200
Hinson clutch cover. $150
SDG tall seat $125
Pro Blot aluminum & Titanium bolt kit $300
DRC red drilled washers. $35
DID ERT2 gold with Pro Taper sprockets 14x52 gearing
2010-12 RMZ front fender & number plates
We cut the side number plates to resemble the RMZ's also

I spent probably 10k on this bike & it has over 50hp & runs like a 450 & is just a blast to ride. The bike is in EXCELLENT condition & is definitely one of a kind & is a must see to appreciate. Only ridden on Sundays by a tired old vet guy :-) call Mike at 508 243 1232

Mike,.
I just purchased this bike yesterday. May have some questions about it. I actually live in the next town over from you. Small world huh. I ran NESC in the 250 expert class back in 1983, My profile picture is from '82 racing in NEMA. I had won the 100cc championship the year before.

Sweet buy! The gold rims (without red spokes) and the pipe in the original picture are bitchin!
Cheers.

Well i kept the old graphics and just update the side and front number plates. New tires are on and just need to do the clutch and rear brakes and i will be ready to roll. Looking forward to racing again. Been way to long.

I loved the Rockstar RMZ 250's from 04 with the bare steel frames and the blued welds so when I stripped down my 07 I did the same thing. I had my welder buddy weld the area's that always would develop cracks on my other RM's and the blued welds looked awesome after he clear powder coated it for me. Ron Bushey did the motor and Factory Connection set up the suspension just like John Dowd's outdoor national RM250 from 04. That bike came out great and was quite fast but very easy to ride and was definitely one of my favorite RM250s. I'm glad the guy that bought it lives like 15 minutes from me.

Very nice RM250, can I ask where to get the graphics ?
Have a 2006 myself and want to make it "new" again, it could very much use a make-over, but i cant find it anywhere, any ideas ??

2-Stroke,
Digger29 would be the guy to answer that since he is the gentleman that put them on. I believe the company is TEK which is a local shop around the New England area i believe. Maybe Digger could chime in an help you out.

I did a google search and came up with Holley Tek and it was not the same company. But with that said Holley TEK did the number plates with the #105 on them as shown in the pictures. Quick turnaround time to put things did not quite line up perfect either.

I also found the Holly Tek, but could't find the graphics.
Appreciate the help.
