Yz450f programmer questions

Bought a 16 yz450f at auction. Picked it up and the little thingy you plug the programmer into is gone, and there's some wires hanging. Probaly was a theft recovery. What are these wires and why would they remove the adapter thing?

What wires plug into the clip? Just these two? Can I buy just a new clip?

Ok, so those two wires are ghetto rigged to two of the three wires a few inches down. The three wires a little down match the colors on my programmer. So hope I can simply by the plastic piece and splice the wires together.

Not sure what them brothers were doing...were they trying to hot wire it!? Lol

So I think I'm just going to splice my wires into my programmer wires to check hours. That should work right?

New harness time. The part you are pointing out is cap that covers the connector on the main harness. Gotta buy the harness to get the pigtail.
