10th digit should be a number or letter. 0 isn't one of this possible numbers. Where did you get the vin off?

Apologies for the poor pic quality.

I'm viewing on phone and the pic isn't that clear but I believe it's a 2005 based on the 10th digit.

I always thought it was the 9th digit, wouldn't JYACG23C0 make it a 2010?

I could be wrong...

I don't see where you guys are seeing a 5 as the tenth digit. What would the tenth digit be for a 2010 model?

Edit: the more I think about it, I seem to remember Yamaha does some funny things with VIN's sometimes. Sounds like a dealer call.

Sorry I can't see your location because I'm posting from my phone. I'm going to guess you aren't in North America with that VIN.

The 10th digit on a North American vehicle will not have a o in it or a 0 (zero) in it to represent the year. 2000 model year is a Y and 2010 is A. The numbers were only used from 2001 to 2009 and went back to letters starting in 2010.

There is no o's or i's used in vin numbers because it is to easy to confuse with 0 or 1 which are used.
