What 2 stroke oil do you use

Edited Date/Time 7/2/2017 12:11pm
A friend of mine experienced first hand the consequences of using a bad oil : carburetor clogged up, spark plug completly black and lots of carbon in the exhaust. I've used that same oil and the bike keeps spitting out that thick black carbon and I'm getting really concerned.
Do you guys have any preferences ?
Thanks in advance.

JASO FD or ISO L-LEGD rated oil will minimize the carbon, but oil alone is probably not the culprit. It is a combination of the oil you use and the jetting of the carburetor that can cause those issues.

Shell Advance VSX. The local oil supplier had cases of 12 1L bottles for £15, so we bought 5 cases. Gone through 3 cases in as in two years and all five bikes we have that run it are fine, MX and road bikes, and others that have come and gone ran with no ill effects.

Ipone Samourai here. Wild strawberry smell. It smells so good it's actually hard to resist drinking it when cooking some premix soup.

When I take my 2 stroke to the track and burn a tank of Castrol A747 premix, sometimes four stroke riders ask me about the smell, and tell me it's quite addictive...lol
A747 does seem to linger in the air for a while.

Yea idk what high maintenance youre talking about. As far as ive ever known 927 is the best you can get. Ive always had great 2 strokes and have never ran anything else.
