Sand goggles vs regular goggles for MX

Looking at getting some new goggles(not looking for brand suggestions) and was curious what, if any, are the differences between sand and regular goggles? Is there any major difference or do the sand goggles keep sand out better? Thanks.

Well if the goggles are sand goggles then wouldn't they get more sand in your eyes since they are made of sand?

Sand goggles do not breathe as good as regular goggles (less voids = less airflow). Being from Florida, I do not recommend them.
