Race gas

I was at a hotrod shop down the street from my house looking at cars. I noticed they had a list of different race gasses they sell and started talking to them. They said dirt bike guys come in to buy it all the time. I ended up buying 2 gallons out of curiosity. It's Sunoco GT 104 octane, unleaded. They said guys mix it 50/50.

Seems rather mild compared to their other stuff.

How should I try it? My bike is a stock 125. I have no experience with race fuel. Add a splash per gallon to wet my feet and see what happens, or dive in and try 50/50?

Like WRH said, 50/50 will be fine for you. Next time, however, try to get some 110 leaded fuel from that shop (assuming they sell leaded race gas): two-smokes love leaded fuels! You could take your bike from stock to a higher compression, no problem, with the 50/50 110 leaded blend...

When we had our 125 I would mix vp 4.4 fuel 50/50 with non ethanol gas

In hindsight I should have done that.

They have 95 ethanol free, 104 unleaded, and 3 higher octane leaded fuels.

I feel like 95 E-Free is more than enough for a stock 125. Just my 2 cents.

But I run 50/50 VP C12 with 91pump.

U don't wanna run too high of an octane or otherwise you'll be losing power. I always went for 95 octane
