2013 CRF250R. This bike has not ran in 2 1/2 years. It won't get spark. Took it to motoworld, two other shops, and hired a race team honda tech to come and no one has figured it out. Symptoms: Bike cut out while riding, backfired, shut off. Got worse as the bike warmed up. Mil light flashed unknown codes. won't start back up. Replaced: stator, full wiring harness, cdi, kill switch, coil, condensor, rectifier, fuel pump. Valves are in spec, 10 hours on engine/bike. Mostly trail ridden. Few track days. Any suggestions? Thank you!
Were the replacement parts oem or after market?
You say the valves are in spec, but have they been checked for sealing?
Has the cam timing been checked?
I saw this in the past on a CRF450R and it was the trigger coil on the stator, but I must also say it sounds like a fuel starvation issue.

Has the cam timing been checked? The cam gear can slip out of place and cause issues.
Also the kill switch on these bikes were known to be a big issue with many failures. This can cause the error codes. If the kill switch fails it will not allow the fuel pump to and it will kill the spark.

2 1/2 years ago or just in the past few weeks or so?

How was the bikes stored? Was it a pest free? Was it heated and cooled?
Was the exhaust plugged while in storage?
Was it stored with the engine at TDC?
Has the bike been torn down and the electrics inspected and tested in the past few weeks?
Was the bike stored with fuel in the system?
Was the bike stored in a good clean condition or was it just parked after the last ride?
All of these things can have a big effect on the outcome of storage.

Check all engine mount bolts and frame holes to be sure they are not full of dirt and or rust. Do the same for the coil mounts as well. This will insure your have a good engine ground and a good coil ground.
Then do an ohms test on the coil both primary and secondary and post up those readings.
Do you have a good bright Blue spark at the plug?
Does the fuel pump run when you kick it over?
Are you getting good fuel flow?
Check the cam timing.
Check valve clearances.
Check for trash in the exhaust pipe.
Check for open vent fuel lines.
Now see if it will fire up.
If no, check for spark at the plug and fuel delivery to the fuel injector.
If no, then check the ohm readings on the stator.
Check flywheel for rust and or dirt. ( there should be none as it is operating in oil.)
Check flywheel to be sure it is tight and the key is not broken off.
After you do these report back and we will see where to go from there.
One other question....When all the parts were replaced, where the old parts tested and found to be bad or where they just changed out?
