I love my new yzf and has amazing bottom and mid but I like to get more top end.without splitting my case I will eventually do that when it needs refreshing lol. But I thought a pipe might give it sum? But I've read that the stock exaust is the best but if sum one thinks differently and knows a good pipe I was thinking pro circuit slip on but also heard they have zero bottom end and I like my bottom end. Also has anyone had any luck with dropping a tooth in the back .a lot of questions but just curious

Gearing , exhaust ,mapping all can help. Get a gytr tuner . Great option for that bike.

I dropped 1 tooth in the rear and went with a full fmf made a pretty big difference imo although it may have took just a tad of the initial bottom hit away the mid seems to pull harder and top pulls longer for sure. My next thing is gonna be a vortex ignition I have a tuner but seems to me the stock mapping is the best but I haven’t actually gotten the hang of the tuner yet.

I think with mapping you can make a different on the top. The GYTR tuner is pretty cool.

I believe the hotcams (stage 2?) add top end. A high comp piston will give you more power everywhere too. Im assuming you want more power in the higher rpm range, not more top speed..

That's what I was thinking and prob what I'll do. But It would be cheaper for me to do the tuner. Let me know if you mess with it and what your thoughts are cause if I could get good results with that that would be great

1st thing we did on our 2015 250's was to put the 450 air intake boot on...not sure if the 17's are the same or not though....stock pipe is pretty good and you can do a lot with the GYTR tuner...a good hop up shop should have a good map for it.

also...VP MXR02 hold her wide and let her eat! Smile

On my 16 250sxf the stock aggressive map worked great with the pro6, if I remember it was a gain of 2hp. I had Tokyo mods do a remap for vp4.4 but the pro6 worked better on the stock map and the Tokyo mod map worked better with 4gal non-enthanol + 1gal vp110 per dyno anyways
