KX450 forks

I have a friend with a 15 kx450 and is completely unhappy with the forks. He races woods and today in his race, the forks let go and completely bottomed out. So my question is, what year spring forks will work with the 15? Also, how about the Race Tech spring conversion kit? I've been running rave tech for years and have never had anything bad from them. Got to think it would be a good product?

I've used the rt kit, it's a good thing. Works well for heavier riders too.

I've had the race tech spring conversion on my 16 for almost a year now. Love it so far, no issues. Easy to install as well.
