I purchased an FMF 4.1 slip on for my 16 YZ250F, FMF recommends using a high temp sealant. What heat range should I use ? also, do I just run the sealant around the pipe once I have it bolted in place ? Or am I entirely missing something, as there was no instructions included. Help is appreciated.

Copper or red RTV will do. Thin bead around the inside of the slip on where it meets the header before you put it together. Make sure it's clean before you put the RTV on and you're all good. Or use none, doesn't really make a difference.

If you do run the red RTV, let it skin for 10-15 minutes before assembly.

I never would have thought about that and it makes sense, thanks for the heads up.

I use the copper but the red will also work fine. Make sure you let it dry overnight.
