Does anyone know what hex size the preload adjuster is on a WP cone valve fork? I bought a lightly used set and do not have the thin wrench to adjust them. I have several sizes and my forks are away being revalved so I can't measure them to see if I have the right one. I think it is 35mm from a description I read somewhere, but not sure.

I'll go out in my trailer and measure it for you as soon as we get back from getting our x-mas tree.

It's a very thin 34mm wrench.

Thanks! The closest I have is a thin 32mm thin steering head wrench. I'll see if Billy has one to sell and send it back with my forks.

No problem and good luck. You're going to love the forks.

I ground down a 32 to fit. just grind a little and test, repeat until it works...

Thanks! I have an old Yamaha wrench (like picture) that is 32mm and could be ground to fit. I also have a 32 thin box end wrench that is a 12 side, but that would be hard to grind down. A box end wrench would be better, but unless it is hard to turn the open end might work.

To be clear, I don't mind buying the original tool. I just didn't want to buy one if I had something that would work. If Billy doesn't have one, I'll grind and file away LOL.

Yeah exactly, my wrench was just like that. I have a bench grinder so it took me a few minutes to get the right size.
