yz 490 reving

a very odd thing happened on my yz 490 the other day. I finally got my pro circuit silencer and it was about three-four inches longer so i figured top end would be better. to really chech it out i took it out on the the road so i could try it wide open. it really seemed like it was turning as fast as it could and then it came back to life really reving higher after not changing for 3-4 seconds on high it was. if im making any sense on how described it, do any of you guys know what happened?

it was really weird where it was so different id be suprirsed if ti ever happened again but its bugged me just wanting to know. the carb is clean but maybe the cable?
