wp50mm conventional on kx500?

Just picked up a 1993 kx 500 I want to use for moto and trial use. I'm a big boy 6.4.. 300lbs and I've got a complete front end off a 99' ktm 380 wp 50 extreme with .52 springs. Was wondering if anybody has tried bolting one of these frontends on a jap bike I'm hoping the steering head bearings/races are the same plus it would be nice to have the brembo front brake thanks.

Back in 96 i had these on my ktm, emig made the outstanding clamps.
After 3 revalves they were still not good. Deflection and hashness or then bottoming.
Wasted too much time fiddling instead of riding.
Maybe the 99 had changes internally.
I ended up giving them back for the upside downs, that were again only maginally better.

Maybe a thought us to sell the ktm forks for the last rm conventionals?

Sorry i was wrong.

Call Emig if you cant piece together clamps yourself. His clamps were a work of art.

Make sure you calculate fork clamp offset and fork lug offset.

Good luck.

I dont recal the ktm brakes in late 90's being awsome,
Only after better pads, stainless line and Honda lever/ master cylinder.
