im gonna take my 250f and have a hotcam stage 2 put in and i thought i should get sum feed back before i spend 600 dollars or if there is another route i could do for around that price cause ive heard that the stage ones are not that great but ive never heard anything on stage 2

First you need to determine what you want to get out of the cam. More bottom? More top? Do some research and determine which cams will do what you want on your model bike. On some twin-cam bikes you can get away with replacing just 1 of the cams depending on what you're trying to do.

Got a hot cams stage 2 in my 14 CRF450 and it made a noticeable improvement in mid-top pull. Not only did it pull harder but it pulled longer before signing off..The way it broadened the powerband was more noticeable than the strength it added and the strength it added was very good..
Great mod..Worth it!
