Do a full carb clean and resto.... then dig deeper if it persists. If the bike sat for a year or more 9/10 in a gummy carb

I had already pulled the entire carb yesterday. Took it apart cleaned the whole thing and the jets were fine. I don't know what's up with the bike

Okay thanks. If I go up to a 170 main should I change the pilot too or is 50 alright. Also I'm going to take it apart and check the valves. The kid I bought if off of claims it was revalved but I want to make sure.

Valve adjustment, plugged carb jets, faulty cam chain, bad carb slide o-ring gasket, air leak are just a few things to check.
Just like we reviewed in another forum.

If u cleaned the carb with a harsh cleaner the o rings are now bad if u left the slide in. There is a o ring in the middle of the body also, very hard to obtain. The pilot sounds to big, u should not need bigger than a 45. 2 turns out. Pull the pilot and use a piece of safety wire .025 and shove it up the pilot hole till u feel it go thru the carb. Just cleaning the jet is not enough sometimes. You will feel the wire break thru the hole un clogging it.

The plate on the carb slide is in upside down...maybe.
