Well my last thread died, so I had to bring this up one last time. After thinking for weeks on end I decided to bite the bullet on the SSS forks. Everything I've heard about the forks are night and day better, so why not right? I bought a complete front end off of eBay from a 2009 YZ250F. Includes the forks, clamps, front brake assembly, and axle. I'm going to swap these forks to my 03 YZ250. After hours of research, I know I have to adjust the stop on my frame because it's too short. It was mentioned that I needed the wheel spacers as well but a couple of people used the wheel spacers from their 03 YZ250 and it worked along with the front wheel. I would imagine the front wheel wouldn't be a problem (fitting wise) but the wheel spacers are throwing me off a little.

Also, I wanted to upgrade to an oversized front rotor. Would I order the parts for a 2009 YZ250F or a 2003 YZ250? kinda confused Sad

rotor should fit both years. its off the hub and i doubt that bolt pattern would changed.
...just looked up a front rotor from galfer and both 03 yz250 and 09 yzf250 have same part number so you should be good there, 450 as well.

The 250F steering stem is shorter than the 2-stroke one. Might be able to press both stems out and put the 2-stroke stem into the 250F bottom clamp.

The rotor itself should fit however the adapter for the caliper needs to match the fork lug. and yes you need to swap out stem. Not sure what year but the 250f fork tubess are about 1/4 shorter over all the the yz250
