This was a first for me. Got a flat and upon inspection, it appears the casing of the tire wore a hole (shown) in the tube. Those marks you see are all around both sides of the tube and perfectly jive with the casing belts that I feel on the inside of the tire.
Tube has about six hours on it. Tire, Pirelli Scorpion MXMH 554 (made in Brazil), has about three hours. I run 13lbs. and an assload of baby powder.
Showed my brother and he recognized the marks immediately. He's had that happen a few times over the years with other brands as well. Guess I was the last to know! hahaha
Has anyone else had this happen? Do I have a right to be a little pissed? I mean, that tire purchase was basically a waste, ya know? Do you feel the inside of the tires before you purchase them?

1. Very low tire pressure.
2. Tire slipping on rim.
A bad or loose rim lock can also allow the tire to move on the rim.
Paw Paw
It's cheap insurance when you're at a national or a serious race.
Nowadays, mousse inserts do not suffer from those conditions.
