As title mentions, my 2015 crf450 squeal/squeaks through the airbox when trying to start the bike (which for some reason is now much harder to start)
Once it does start up the noise goes (unless I just can't hear it over the bike) the bike recently melted the ignition inside the flywheel cover because I lost all water from braking the radiator.

Head and barrel had absolutely NO damage, checked very thoroughly. Replaced all broken parts and replaced piston. Valves and clearances all fine too. Bike also fluctuates when idling. Compression all fine too. If you could help me ASAP would be very thankful as I have my current championship to contend this Sunday.

I do have a video on my phone of the noise but for some reason won't let me post on here?

Did you clean the oil screen?
I would suggest you have an oil pressure issue.
If the engine got hot enough to burn the stator then it got hot enough to damage the crank bearings as well.

yeah if you melted a stator that thing needs to come apart.

Check your trans fluid level. Not sure if Honda fixed this, but on some years you have to overfill past the check hole to actually get the correct level. If not, you can get a squeal on start up along with other bad things.

Some guy just asked that same question in the "two stroke edition" of MXA....not sure what month it was. Either June or July I think.

Just curious if you could be hearing a major vacuum leak, like a loose or jolted intake boot or something? That would also cause hard starts.

The clutch and trans will make a loud scream on these bikes if the oil is low or dry. The engine oil and trans oil are in 2 separate sections of the motor housings.
Make sure both sections have the correct amount of the correct oil in each.

My dad eneded up stripping it down and found that (i think this is what he said) the valves seats were not going all the way down? dont quote me on that though! i know it had something to do with the valves though!

Most likely it was the valve buckets not going all the way down. If so, this is due to dirty oil or low oil pressure. In that case the buckets will be toast and well as the cam journals and maybe other engine parts.
Good luck.
