On my '03 Yz250 I'm running 80/100/21 and 110/90/19 Dunlop MX51's.

Just realized I have enough spare parts to build another wheel set (for sand). Only problem is the rear rim I have is a 1.85, but maybe it won't be a big deal in the sand? Opinions? Thinking about MX11's.

MX11 is a great sand tire. The rear is about as close as you'll get to a paddle tire.

Any opinion on the 1.85" rear rim with a 110 for sand?
Jrewing are you saying only a front tire is necessary?

Any of the major brands sand tires will be ace on back- 110 is fine on that rim IMO.
No I'd run both sand tires if it's a full sand track..

Pirellis are on average the lightest ones around. Their casings are softer so run a 1-2 more Psi than Dunlop for eg.

Shopping around I can get a pretty good deal on the 203/204 combo or the new Battlecross X20, although I haven't really seen any reviews of the X20 yet?
