SSS or cone valve forks?

Currently have SSS forks fitted but came across a set of CV's cheap, bike is used for fast trails not MX.
worth the expense or overall not much better than the SSS i already have?

I would say that the SSS forks are more than good enough for most of us but you might "like" the CVs better so it's hard to answer. My suggestion would be to buy them if they are a great deal and try them out. If you decide the improvement was worth the investment, keep them. If not, you can sell them and recoup all or most of your money. I know that doesn't answer your question exactly but that's what I would do since the answers you will recieve to this question will very subjective.

if you have money to burn go for the CV if not the kyb forks are damn good

The cone valves are really nice because of the bottoming resistance. I don't think trail riding that type of bottoming is needed.

Like they said above, if you have money to burn and get the CVs valved for trails, I'm sure they will be great.
