Paint won't last on the silencer. The constant roost from the back tire will make quick work of the paint.

Are you saying that the paint will wear away from roost?

I have a 70's race bike with a down pipe -- painted it black a year ago with high temp black and it's still on there. I would think a down pipe gets more roost action that a little silencer.

Thank for the info man. I know that the silencer is subject to roost, but Ive heard very good reviews on this PJ1 stuff. Its made for engine paint so Id think that its a little stronger than regular paint. Its supposed to be very durable stuff. I ordered some so Im waiting for it to come in then im going to test it out.
