Will preface this with saying I'm totally shit with engines...

Just building my RM125 back up, has had a full engine rebuild (not by me)...

Just putting the carb back on and I'm struggling to 'pop it in'... Check pic:

I'm guessing this should this be more flush? If so, got any tips on popping it over the seal..? Have tried tapping it on with a bit of timber but its not budging. But by the looks of it it needs to be pushed on another 7mm or so to align with that little bracket/notch thing. Tips?

Noob question.. sorry ! Blush

Thanks in advance!

yes, it deff needs to pop back in and the align notch/tang should match up. one hand on top (slide area) other on bottom (bowl) and pull it back towards air box, align up best you can and kind of rotate back and forth until it slides into boot. once it's in it should slide up and align pretty easy. you should have some type of clamp on there to tighten up to hold it in place after everything is lined up.

Easiest way is to remove lower sub frame bolts, remove silencer and tilt sub frame up in air. The carb to reed cage boot is always a bitch. Air box boot goes on ez. Wd-40 and push the carb in place. Swing subframe back down slip boot over carb and bolt everything back up, EZ PEZEE.

I never do that but it worked for you. Be sure you have the clamp on it, or you will suck air and dirt, and it may separate.
