New 2 stroke patent from Honda

Saw this posted on Facebook a few minutes ago. Thoughts? For bikes or for small engine kind of stuff? Will it get put into production?

Can't say whether or not it will happen until it does. But if they make a new 250 2 stroke, I'll be on that sh*t In a heartbeat.

I see the stroke being very long to be considered a performance application. With the actual exhaust valve it looks like it may eliminate the need for a expansion chamber. Very clever crank design keeps the rob angle near vertical at all times. Curious where this goes. Being one of the head guys at HRC said there will be no future 2 stroke development.

They have this new 2 stroke patent for that reason alone, to have the patent so nobody else can use it.I'm all for Honda putting a 125 and a 250 2 stroke back on the market but it isn't going to happen.
